Outdoor Dance Photo Shoot
When the founder and choreographer of a three-piece Irish dance troupe reached out to me interested in an outdoor dance photo shoot – I was delighted to be given the opportunity. Dancers are a joy to work with and I’ve always been a big fan of Irish dancing. I’m so excited to share a few photos from our shoot with you today.
The girls’ dance troupe is called Trinity Lace. As you can infer from the images, they provide a modern, edgy and girly twist on Irish dance. Our shoot took place just over two weeks ago in Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens. The weather Gods were kind to us on the day, which is always appreciated in mid-October in Ireland!
The sun was shining, the wind was barely there, and it was dry. We aimed for an autumnal setting that would complement the dancers’ outfits and that would also be quiet enough not to attract too many onlookers. Hence the decision to use Iveagh Gardens.
Ciara, Nerissa, and Mairead were an absolute pleasure to work with and didn’t once complain about the cold (and it was very cold!). As the dancers were very happy to brave the weather, it also made my work so easy. Hope you like the images. The girls certainly made the park look even more beautiful than it already is. Keep an eye out for Trinity Lace!
